The Staff Advisory Committee (SAC) is a collective contributing body to the College’s shared governance structure. The SAC: 1) provides a voice for staff to reflect on general issues related to college operations and their effective delivery, not otherwise addressed within departmental procedures; and 2) creates and sustains a spirit of community and collegiality.

In Fall 2023 and Spring 2024, the Staff Advisory Committee:
Advocated for proactive safety planning regarding the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024
Completed a full migration of Staff Advisory Committee files to Sharepoint in support of the college’s new technology resources
Provided recommendations to Human Resources for updated performance evaluation assessment
Advocated for inclusion in the staff onboarding process to assist in welcoming new staff members
Recommended and seated new members to the Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Committee and the Honorary Degree Award Committee
Published the Trocaire Holiday Cookbook, a collection of recipes from Trocaire’s faculty and staff
Organized discounted on-site CPR training for faculty and staff members
Advocated for additional VSP training for staff
Continued to advocate for enhanced safety and security for the Trocaire community
Hosted several faculty and staff gatherings, including a Halloween Party, a Holiday Luncheon, Mardi Gras Celebration, Pi(e) Day Luncheon, Baby Shower for United Way, and a Staff & Faculty Appreciation Party
