Get Started

To get started, transfer students should complete the following steps prior to registering for courses:

Step 1: Complete the Pre-Registration Module

Before students meet with their assigned advisor to register for classes, they are required to complete the mandatory Pre-Registration Orientation found on Moodle. The Orientation Coordinator will email students instructions on how to complete the orientation 24-48 hours after students receive notification of their acceptance.

Step 2: File your FAFSA

All students at Trocaire College must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to check their aid eligibility each semester. The Office of Financial Aid is available to assist students with the FAFSA process and understanding aid as a transfer student. The Office of Financial Aid communicates with students via Trocaire email for all official communication. Please respond to communication and requests for supplemental documentation in a timely manner.

Step 3: Activate CastleBranch & Upload Health Records

In order to register for courses, all students must have the required health records submitted. The required health documents must be uploaded by the student to CastleBranch. Students receive a Package Code in their Acceptance Packet from Admissions with their specific package code. Required Health Records to Register:

Step 4: Register for Classes

Transfer students will register for classes with their assigned advisor through the Advisement & Student Service Center. If students have any other courses they’ve taken in the past, advisors will work with students to go through their degree audit to discuss what courses transferred in to Trocaire. Students will register for classes on their eStudent portal.

Step 5: Order Textbooks & Supplies

Trocaire College’s Barnes & Noble Bookstore has all student textbooks and course materials available. Students may use the bookstore website to purchase or rent their course materials. Students in different programs may purchase their program uniform and patch directly through the bookstore. The bookstore works to pricematch textbooks.

Step 6: Attend Pre-Semester Social & Program Orientation

Transfer students are encouraged to attend the Transfer Student Social, hosted by the Office of Student Engagement at the end of August. Registration for this social is highly encouraged to ensure our team meets the needs of all in attendance.

Check your Trocaire email for any program orientation information leading up to the semester.

Step 7: Get your Technology Ready

Add your Trocaire email to your phone. Email is the primary form of communication at Trocaire. Students are expected to check their Trocaire emails frequently, and use it to communicate with offices, instructors, and other personnel on campus.

Get Familiar with Moodle! If you are not familiar with using Moodle for classes, we encourage you to participate in the Moodle Orientation. This orientation walks through Moodle Basics to help you as you navigate the platform for classes, submit assignments, and participate in discussion boards.
